On the nature of in and out degenerate science of catastrophic existence, here is a smart discussion. Tornadoes are often undermined for the more of a phenomenon known as earthquakes. But what is more troubling about tornadoes is how it undergoes levelling by grounded and columned spatial force. So you can understand the differences here are two different definitions for earthquakes (from the USGS, government science entry)and tornadoes(favorite online definition for all info outlets). I have made different depictions of the two in my books and banners.
Tornadoes: A tornado, or twister, is a violently rotating column of air that extends between the Earth’s surface and a cloud, usually a cumulonimbus cloud.
Earthquake: An earthquake is what happens when two blocks of the earth suddenly slip past one another. The surface where they slip is called the fault or fault plane. The location below the earth’s surface where the earthquake starts is called the hypocenter, and the location directly above it on the surface of the earth is called the epicenter.
