Obama notes in his autobiography, A Promised Land, that Eisen earned himself the title of Dr No, so strict was his approach to conflicts of interest. He would tell White House officials hoping to attend outside events that “if it sounds fun, you can’t go”.
Obama Era, what a world apart. I have experienced looting myself. It nuts your stomach and makes you feel extremely unsafe. It almost killed me. Especially if no one helps. Clearly, there are great lessons to be learned here. Justice is never to be overlooked for anyone. Ethics matter, so does justice in strategic terms and times by strategic means. I gave those strategic warnings on Trump and then embraced it because of the personal looting the democrats ignored because Jill Biden seemed the unelected president who didn’t want to give up unapponted power at their expense. Such great lessons to learn. I believe there are more lessons to come.
