DELIVERY EXCERPT

Sometime between midnight and dawn Christmas day, a married couple orders pizza to be delivered to their home. The next day they are found murdered. The pizza delivery boy is found drowned in the nearby lake. His finger prints are found all over the crime scene and on the murder weapon found next to his clothes by the lake.

He is declared the suspect in the killing.

Dorothy Day is a private investigator hired by a charity law firm from the constant cries from the boy’s poor mother that her son isn’t a killer. And as Dorothy digs deep into what happened that night, she is drawn more and more into the lives of the married couple.

RECOIL EXCERPT
